Trends for 2013

Hey dolls!

Since we just celebrated the new year I wanted to share some of

the trends I think we will be seeing a lot of in 2013!

1) Leather 

I am ob.sessed. with leather right now! It is definitely one of my fave new trends! I just got a pleated leather skirt for Christmas and I already have been putting outfits together! Leather is just so versatile and fun to work with. You can make it edgy, chic, or girly with just a few different accessories! 

I can't wait to see this trend come to life in 2013.

2) Printed Pants

This next trend is definitely something that is risky when it comes to everyday outfits, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot! In 2012 we saw a lot of colored denim (love it!) and this year I think we'll be taking that up a notch by mixing some patterns in! I love these green and blue bow printed pants from J. Crew! The pattern is unique yet simple at the same time. I think when the pants are busy you always

have to go with a simple top and accessories, so I think that's how I'm going to make this trend a little more wearable for me!

3) Black and White

Lastly, I think we'll be seeing a lot of simple, chic, and sophisticated black and white this year. For a while, everyone was into bright colors (even neon!) but now I think black and white will reenter the fashion world. I love this trend so much because it's so simple and easy to wear, and you can easily make any outfit your own by accessorizing it to make it unique! I really can't wait to create some chic black and white outfits!

Overall, I think these 3 trends will be making their way into our wardrobes in 2013!

I'm so excited to try all 3 out this year.

Holiday Sparkle

Hey lovelies!

Today I wanted to share a holiday outfit that I adore!

I started out with some black high waisted shorts (with some sparkle!)

and paired it with this simple black and white collared blouse.

Then, I added a pair of black tights and black wedges for a chic look,

and finished it off with these cluster pearl earrings and a dark maroon clutch!

(You could really add any color clutch or earrings for a little pop of color!)

This is a look I'll definitely be rocking this holiday season!

I think it's so simple, chic, and cute for any party or event.

Pretty Little Chic

Velvet dresses are one of my fave trends for this holiday season! You can dress it up with a pair of heels or go for a casual look with flats and tights. The look I put together today is perfect for a Christmas party with some of your guys and gals or a night out on the town. This weekend I'll be busy putting up the Christmas tree and lights and maybe even decorating some sugar cookies! More pics to come.. How are you celebrating this holiday season?

Current Loves

I spent this weekend baking up a storm! My mamma and I baked a carrot cake, swirl cookies, and of course my fave peanut butter bars! Don't worry I made sure to taste test everything first.. Other than that, the weekend was pretty casual. I ended up picking out a few items for my Christmas wishlist shown above. I have been loving the new coach purses! The style is so simple and classic and can go with everything. I'm also obsessed with the delicate bow rings from Ruche! They are honestly adorable.
