Trends for 2013

Hey dolls!
Since we just celebrated the new year I wanted to share some of
the trends I think we will be seeing a lot of in 2013!

1) Leather
I am ob.sessed. with leather right now! It is definitely one of my fave new trends! I just got a pleated leather skirt for Christmas and I already have been putting outfits together! Leather is just so versatile and fun to work with. You can make it edgy, chic, or girly with just a few different accessories!
I can't wait to see this trend come to life in 2013.

2) Printed Pants
This next trend is definitely something that is risky when it comes to everyday outfits, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot! In 2012 we saw a lot of colored denim (love it!) and this year I think we'll be taking that up a notch by mixing some patterns in! I love these green and blue bow printed pants from J. Crew! The pattern is unique yet simple at the same time. I think when the pants are busy you always
have to go with a simple top and accessories, so I think that's how I'm going to make this trend a little more wearable for me!

3) Black and White
Lastly, I think we'll be seeing a lot of simple, chic, and sophisticated black and white this year. For a while, everyone was into bright colors (even neon!) but now I think black and white will reenter the fashion world. I love this trend so much because it's so simple and easy to wear, and you can easily make any outfit your own by accessorizing it to make it unique! I really can't wait to create some chic black and white outfits!

Overall, I think these 3 trends will be making their way into our wardrobes in 2013!
I'm so excited to try all 3 out this year.
What do you guys think? Will you be trying out some of these trends this year?

Maddie

Holiday Glitter Guide

Holiday Glitter Guide

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you're just as excited for the holidays as I am. It's honestly my favorite time of year! Although I love Christmas, New Years is for sure the best holiday to dress up for. This year sparkles, glitter, and glam are trending for New Years Eve and these pieces above are perfectly pretty for your night out! I love the classic gold and black sparkles, but I adore the light pink and aqua too. And let's not forget the chevron clutch! Too cute!

Current Loves

Current Loves

I spent this weekend baking up a storm! My mamma and I baked a carrot cake, swirl cookies, and of course my fave peanut butter bars! Don't worry I made sure to taste test everything first.. Other than that, the weekend was pretty casual. I ended up picking out a few items for my Christmas wishlist shown above. I have been loving the new coach purses! The style is so simple and classic and can go with everything. I'm also obsessed with the delicate bow rings from Ruche! They are honestly adorable. Hope these items can give you few ideas for your wishlist this year! Have a Happy Monday!

Autumn Lovin'

Shirt: Forever 21 Skirt: Urban Outfitters Shoes: Kohl's Bracelets: DIY, Forever 21 Headband: H&M

Hey Gals!
This weekend was spent outside enjoying this lovely fall weather! The colors look amazing and the sun couldn't be warmer. I had a great time at some family parties and played with the cutest little kid-lings out there! I even made my first batch of the season pumpkin cookies (you can find the recipe here) and a nice cup of hot cocoa. How have you been celebrating fall?
Have a Happy Monday!

Maddie's Loving...

One of my favorite trends for fall is Mustard Yellow!

I think it is so easy to work into your wardrobe and it really
can give any outfit a pop of color.
You can go from as simple as a hair bow or a pair of earrings,
to as bold as bright jeans or a sweater!
It's so easy to incorporate this trend however you feel comfortable.
So give it a try and let me know your fave colors for fall!
